Chris@
diamond back, avusblaue and daytona-violett are -by far- the most frequent colours used for the -M5touring-. I will check.

Stevie@
as per my file the 3rd brake-light on the -Marion & Werner- is not factory-fitted, it is not on the option-list for this car -
-
Simonal@
I am sure the 3rd-brake-light on the car is genuine BMW OEM but that does not mean is was put there by the 'craftman in the holy halls of Garching'
-
only very few -M5tourings- have this extra-pay-option fitted 'in the holy halls' -
-
M5 CFF@
it is an early one, built June 10th, 1992, no of diamond-blacks is 175 *) with
daytona-violett actually being the most common colour on a M5touring -
how many brothers in the UK ? again I will have to check -
this car was stuck for a long time at a car-dealer in Richmond, Surrey =
West Lake Garages -
*) ohne Gewähr, as they say in the 'craut-country.......
-
all you guys with contacts to ML > they had recently/still have ?? a -granitsilver M5touring- for sale, 99.149 kms - reg no: K383 WKJ, a 5-speed -
I did contact Tony/ML by e-mail for the VIN but no response, does any one feel for it to give Tony or Barnsley a call and ask for the VIN ??
it would make my day because I do believe that this car is not yet identified in the registry, Simon ??

Thank you Karl. However,"Ohne Gewahr"/caveat emptor/buyer beware. Sounds ominous!
I know the previous owner took it to the 'ring with Barney from ML. Barney said the only problem he detected, when driving it back from 'ring was one of the alloys felt bent at high speed.
Karl do you have any more pre-history &/or the build sheet please?
Thanks
Chris

ps I'll pop round to see Barney at ML, once I've collected the car & I'll ask him about the VIN for the granite silver one.

M5 CFF@ Chris,
just for the record, -ohne Gewähr-without engagement- refers to my colour-figures NOT to your car....
-
I will sent you an e-mail with details, give my regards to Barney/ML

The car at Straight Eight is an Italian dealer special, thus the leather and exterior colour. Registered in November 1995. I arrived in the UK in June 2003 with 106K and was owned by the top man at Hexagon UK. He has spent £10,000 on the car recently and has replaced anything worn mechanically or electronically. Car now on sale for £9,950, all services are complete, loads of bills plus all correct paperwork. Well worth buying and still has 8 months MOT!!!

Chassis number to follow.

Legacy260@
last three digits of the VIN is enough for me. If this is not the one then I know of one other -sterlingsilver, blue leather- M5touring -Italyversioncar in the UK. That would make the count of totally nine (9), two in the UK, one in Sweden, one in Germany and the rest still (unidentified) in Italy ???

BTW when I visited the car a while back it was meant to have 126K because I remember it was close to the original km on mine.

But can check again if I pass near there....

PS Karl I have sent you a PM
