just for the record,
the present count of 'identified' M5tourings in the UK = 22 cars

M5 touring in Japan

Spotted this in Japan:

Karl, how is your Japanese? Could be a challenge to get the VIN if you haven't already found this car.

Good luck

Hello all,

I bought Streling Silver M5 Touring week ago. Product date is 1992-11-06.
But it was first registered in 94. Now it has 204000km.

It has mysterious option codes like:
811 Belgium Version
899 Export-Fahrzeug

Does anyone know how 811 and 899 differents from Germany version? This car has never been register in Belgium. 1st owner is BMW. I'm 6th owner.

VIN = BL01440

Sorry my english is not so good. Hopefully it's understandable.

Mine have got the same codes. My car was, however, also sold and registered in Belgium.

What they actually mean is a mystery to me too though...
Best regards and congrats on a wonderful car!

Ihan hyvin ymmäremme..:-)

Belgian cars have at least in the past, been fairly basic in their accerssory list as the importers bought them as cheaply as possible ( much like finland ). Thats why its one of the cheaper countries to export cars from.

Just check that the car has all 4 wheels, windows and a back seat...
