Things are coming along nicely.

One of the problems we've encountered was that the EGR pipes were all fractured around their mounting plates and replacing them is an expensive business (£428+VAT). Faz suggested we could delete the system as it won't effect emissions tests as they are carried out at present, I had some concerns about the rules being changed in the future so it was important that the deletion was reversible. The mounting plates were cut off the pipes and welded up (TIG as they're stainless steel) and re-fitted to the manifold. The air pump stays as it tensions one of the belts.

It seemed sensible to send the injectors off to be tested, cleaned and overhauled. Even though to fueling seemed great on the car prior to the failure all the injectors were down around 10%. After cleaning and having new nozzles fitted they are back up to full efficiency. Well worth doing for £25 each. New injectors are £100 each.

Most of the engine is built now and will hopefully be going back in the car next week. There are still a few jobs to do. With the engine out its a good time to give the engine bay a thorough de-grease and clean up, we're going to replace the fan blower motor as its a difficult job with the engine in situ and knowing my luck it would die a week after the engine was back in.

by removing the EGR pipes, does any error appears?

I have my engine out nowadays too, and was thinking about removing EGR as well...
