Sorry,
I was posting about the thermostat cover, I have the S38b36, and it has just plain old 10mm hex bolts.
Make sure you get the right tools, because the T Star cover bolts seemed to be a little sticky coming out and I had to drill out most of them and replace the with new stainless steel bolts.
When I replaced them I put some anti seize compound on them to help prevent frozen bolts (ferrous bolts into alloy parts) if I ever have to do it again.
