Hi

I can´t find this with search so what is the max. ignition advance in the 3.8 with original chip? I have an aftermarket chip and want to compare the ignition advance figure with original one.

Send me the chip or take a read and send me the hex and I'll tell you how much more advance your running.

Your got to be really careful!

Don't even consider fitting a chip which has not been thoroughly tested. Where did you purchase from?

The FN-Automobiltechnik chip is installed in the car and my car is in winter storage, so I can´t take the chip out right now. What kind of ignition advance curve is in the original 3.8 chip? What is the maximum ignition advance and at what rpm it is achieved? Is the original chip mapped for 92 RON octane fuel? I use 98 RON octane fuel.

I bought this chip and Schrick 280 cams second hand from an car enthusiast. I agree that it´s not clever to use an chip without the information of ignition advance increases vs. stock chip. The chip should be mapped for my car.

I need the information of the original ignition advance to compare with my current chip.

The original chip is mapped to 95RON fuel .

What is the original chips maximum ignition advance at degrees before top dead center (btdc) and what is the rpm when it is achieved

? If the original chip is mapped for 95 RON octane fuel, what happens in the countries where is lower RON octane fuel?
