Sorry to see you go!

Get the new owner to check out the exhaust hangers, something is wrong on the car as the exhaust is hanging far to low.

Kind Regards

Ivan

Well at least your car is being treated in the way to which it has become accustomed !

Stick around Stephen , you have always been a great addition to this board !

Stephen, sad to hear your car has reached that point of effor-nomic no return! hopefully the new owner will do the necessary, I wouldn't be surprised if you find another one a few months down the road!!
All the best with the Honda's I'm sure the folks around here wont mind some vtec related tales and more pic's of our 1st class scenery, although be handy if you put them in the right order next time......nice route for a last blast all the same.
Cheers.

Hi Steve,

Sorry to hear you've had to let your beast go. Hope you will stick around on the board. I've found some of your advice (even if it was CRX related) very helpful. Hope the economics work out for the GT3 (but I reckon your BTCC Teg would give it a run for its money!). All the best mate!

Once again, thanks all for your good wishes!

I am missing the car terribly already! New owner is delighted with it though and had a fun 200 mile drive home - he's a friend, so I'm glad he's happy

IMHO the E34 M5 is irreplaceable. I wasted ££££ trying to fill the hole left by my first one, I mourned it for two years . My current one has me by the short and curlies, in health and crippling sickness!!

Sorry to be so morbid mate, and I'll be very impressed if you can resist buying another

I miss mine too - both of them.

However, I realised that I only ever used all 4 seats about twice a year and that if I'd kept the last one in storage along with the Z4, the M5 would have only been brought out for special occasions. I don't think any M car should be a 'special occasions' car as they need a driving properly to keep them performing properly.

Imagine buying a race horse and keeping it in the stables all year and only bringing it out to run one race a year. The poor thing would probably collapse as the gates open.

Would I have another M5, considering the £50k I've ploughed into them over 7 years (not including tyres, insurance, petrol)? That's easy - of course I would!

However, that's my biggest problem - and the reason I had to go for something equally/more purposeful - if I'd gone for something that was going to bore me, I would have gone back to another M5 very quickly and started another session of wallet-bashing.

By getting the Z4MC I've inadvertently found myself a cure to the addiction that is the e34 M5.

Z4MC - methadone for M5 owners!!

Very glad you're happy with it Tony, it is a beautiful motor especially in that Ruby Black. That and the M3 CSL are both dripping with charisma.
