Steering Pump - Self Leveling Hoses

Good Afternoon,
I've developed a leak on the exit and return lines from my steering pump to the rear self leveling system. From what I can tell, there are two hose/pipe combinations.

The first pulled here from Pelican's website:

looks to be in good condition, it's the other one that is causing me grief. However, none of the catalogs actually depict our self-leveling set-ups, and I can't find the part number for the second hose. Can anyone help?

As an aside, the rear self-leveling was replaced with Bilsteins about 5k ago by Korman. I confirmed that they just put the system to recirculate, vice stopping it up. Given that I don't have the system, can I just plug the ports on the steering pump instead of replacing the hoses (that ultimately don't do anything except circulate)?
Thanks in advance!
-Lloyd

No, you can't just plug the pump, but you can cut the line using a pipe cutter just after the pump, and run a piece of 7mm fuel hose immediatly back to the power steering reseviour (attaching it where the SLS return line attaches).

The line is junk anyway and this fix will cost you $4 instead of $250.

The exact same thing happened to me last spring.

Hi

I've had my SLS removed and had the lines plugged where the shocks connect using specially manufactured stoppers supplied by Faz. The advantage is that you retain the compliance of the accumulators in the system. Even with this it is likely the system will leak at some point in the years ahead - it's old and under 130+bar pressure.

It seems that either adapting a 535i pump or having the original pump machined so it no long pressurises the SLS output are the only long term solutions. Wout covered the latter in his epic thread "Major wrenching coming up".

Hope this helps, Anwar
