Hi,

If the dash lights come on as normal, but when the key is turned they flicker and you hear a light "fluttering" noise, it's likely to be a flat or dead battery. Stick a multimeter on the battery and read off the charge level.

Do you get the battery light come on with the dash lights on initial key turn or does it stay off? If it's staying off, it's possibly a failed volatage regulator on the alternator, which has led to the flat battery.

Hope you get it fixed!

Regards
Ivan

Can you jump the car?
Since the battery was recently changed maybe the cables weren't tightened correctly?
Any corrosion from the previous battery?

Are you saying that when you turn the key fully , the car does not even crank i.e. the starter motor doesn't engage ?

If so , there is a possibility that your key / ignition assembly / barrel is at fault , which I can elaborate on if this is your issue .
