After spotting a leaking caliper I've decided to give my 4-pots some TLC. The calipers have been stripped, pistons cleaned and new seals ordered. However I'm undecided on the colour, a local company to me will powder coat them for £15 a caliper but their colour chart is endless! I've seen them before in silver but I'm tempted by dark violet to match the car or perhaps red. How many others have painted their calipers and could they possibly post some pictures for comparison,
mine are a little bit golden..... but nothing ricey,, just a nice touch...

on the track, but with road tires...

When I got my car the calipers had coat of green paint that was flaking off pretty bad. To fix it I had to remove and disassemble the calipers and send them out to be proffessionaly cleaned to remove all of the old paint and road grime. Then I got some two-part caliper paint (don't recall the brand) and threw a few coats on the calipers and brakets. I put everything back together, and while it all looked better than it had before it still didn't look right. So I took the wheels off and decided to fill in the ///M logos with epoxy and model car paint. It's looks great in person and both the caliper paint and the epoxy that fills the logos have withstood the elements very well.
