Original BMW CD-player for E34

Hi
Many E34 come with an original BMW cassette player but does there exist an original BMW CD-player that I can put in my E34?

yes, bmw business cd player, can be found rather easily on ebay

If i remember right, it should be a bolt-on-job, at least in the cars produced 09-90->, unless you have a bavaria c professional rds- player as a factory option. It has different kind of wiring.

Three CD-players were available. Bavaria Electronic CD (658), Bavaria Electronic CDII (659) and BMW Business CD RDS (replacing 658).
The first ones came with a CD cartridge where you put the disks in and then into the CD-player. At least the CDII also needs the HiFi-system to work properly. Business is more modern and does not have that cartridge and works without HiFi speakers (676).
Of course there are many newer versions that will work as well, but these were the factory ones from BMW.

If you do speak N/S/DK language most units are found on photos in this thread on the Swedish board (login needed first): http://www.e34m5.se/forum/topic.asp?...&TOPIC_ID=1804

I've got a Blaupunkt CD player, which I took out of a 525 at a breakers.

Has the orange credit card sized security card. it's in storage, but I can dig it out when I'm back in Prague.

Yours for what I paid for it if you want. 50euros plus shipping.

You want the CD43 like the one in the top pic. That with the DICE Ipod connector is the perfect upgrade. It allows for satellite radio and IPOD, and single CD in the headunit itself.

There was a group buy on the bimmerforums board
