If you are going to spend that kind of $$$ look on ebay for a Nakamichi CD400 perfectly matches my M5 interior, dont know if the regular 5 series has the same color trim etc, i think you can change the Nak lighting color from orange/red to green in the settings as well.

I've got a similair issue, I've got the Bavaria C Professional (not RDS though), it's really a Becker BE1803 head unti / boot mounted receiver, with 8 speaker hifi factory installed.

I would like put a CD changer into the car. There used to be one, the wiring is still there in the boot, but I've no idea what type of CD changer unit to try and buy...

I really want to keep the Becker unit, the sound quality (from cassettes and radio) is superb, and, I certainly don't want to start trying to re-wire the car, but, struggling to make any sense of the wiring thats in the boot.

any ideas?

i've attached a picture showing what I think are the CD changer connectors that are in the boot. (apologies for the rubbish picture, I can re-take tomorrow if anybody can help).

thanks
jamie

found out today that the CD changer unit I need is a Becker BE 0980 silverstone 10 disc unit.

apparently they we're fitted to mercedenz benz cars as well.

so far no luck trying to find a 2nd hand one.

also read (but no confirmed) that there are some compatible cd changers from Alpine when using an adaptor...
