EBC Brake Pads - Redstuff or Yellowstuff?

Hi there! I am planning on getting either of these to replace my stock brake pads. Yellowstuff pads are more geared towards drivers who track a lot. I don't really do that, just spirited daily driving, but Yellows don't cost a lot more than Reds and are supposed to last longer (albeit with more brake dust - which doesn't concern me). The other downside to Yellows is that they apparently take longer to bed-in. Would appreciate any views, thanks!

I thought EBC only had green and red for e34 M5.... at least it was what I saw in their catalog in my dealers shop....

Hi

I use the yellow pads all around on my big brakes, but not that great.
If you brake hard down from 200km/h the brakes gets warm and you need to puch much harder on the brakes to take speed off. Fells like I never gets the car to stop

So I´m looking for some other pads.

I have used the Reds which are harder on disks but do give greater stopping power. No real issues with dust or fade if driven moderately hard.

You guys are the best! Looks like it's going to be either sticking to the stock pads or trying out Redstuff (probably the latter, since I could always just switch back to stock pads if they're not great).

We run EBC yellowstuff on Sebring Sienna and they are great , on the road and on the track ......

No issues stopping from cold , minimal bedding in period ( they have a red glaze that indicates the bedding in required ) and pull the car up better than stock Textars .

I've never used Redstuff so cannot comment on their qualities .

Check out the EBC home website. I'm sure they've got Yellowstuff for 3.8s. Anyway, I'm looking to buy mine online from the US, maybe buybrakes.com, because it's a lot cheaper than at home.

Ferodo DS2500 is another good option.
