Crank Position Sensor

Crank Position sensor was damaged during rebuild. Does anyone know if this part: (says 94-95 e34 530iT)

BMW 530IT Crankshaft Position Sensor

will work in my 91 m5?

Thanks in advance

According to Realoem : Part Search

It doesn't appear to be listed for your M5 , although that is not to say that it won't actually work .

Is there a particular reason that you won't buy the genuine item from BMW ?

Davidoli,

Just wanted to let you knw you were right and thanks for your help. After s a few more phone calls today, that 530it sensor is not compatiable with the M5. So, BMA hooked me up with the part by end of the week, another week isnt a huge deal as my jack ***** mechanic has had my car now for oh, 14 months! I would kill to have a farrel here in the US
