s38b38 02 sensor wiring

My e24 now has a M5 engine. Driveline was purchased secondhand.
We have no 02 sensor (motor came without exhaust) and dont know where the wiring would mate to the engine. Can someone tell me where the wiring from the sensor joins the engine loom (if it does) and where abouts it goes. A schematic drawing would be great.
Any and all advice will be appreciated.
Rick

Hi Rick, not sure if 3.6 and 3.8 are same, so here is 3.8 on RealOEM:

O2 sensor goes here (as you probably know)
RealOEM.COM * BMW E34 M5 3.8 CATALYTIC CONVERTER/FRONT SILENCER

Routes straight up into the DME I'm pretty sure .... have you got any of the BMW electrical manuals you can download?

Have you got the wiring loom for the engine?

Answer to my question:
The 4 pin plug is located just above the starter motor. Thanks Holger
