I think it's quite balanced, and the threads are still left to go a bit OT without being overly moderated. Once something more serious comes up then it's sorted quickly.

Can't ask for much more than that without it becoming a completely autocratic regime.

Although that guy Kees is a right miserable fellow

A bit of sparring puts us youngsters out on our asses and rightly so IMHO!

Me thinks it is good as it is at the moment. Strikt and fair when needed and anyone is free to express himself in a reasonable and open fashion

I voted for the status quo - but think that in general (certainly on the E34 section), a bit of banter helps give the board character.

As such, my only suggestion would be to progressively address issues as they arise. For instance, if the subject is getting too off topic, a post noting that might be a good start. Similarly, if a little 'aggro' is becoming apparent, a post by a moderator calling for restraint would also be a good start. After that, if requests by moderators are ignored, then decisive action would be required.

But generally, very happy with the approach taken.

Cheers

I voted for No1.
Not for more moderation.
Imho, the quality of posts has degraded.
That may be short term & just the ebb & flow of the section.
With that in mind, we can all do our bit to improve this.

Cheers

At this point, I couldn't care less.

There was a time when I had no unread threads in the E34 section. Now its up to 4 pages with mainly unread.

Let's get some focus here guys.

I also feel that sadly the forum is not what it was.
I have had some great advice and help from many members who seem to post less and less these days.
I know the forum is about different things for different people but I have always felt its strength was in the quality of technical advice and sharing ownership experiences. I hope we can get back to more of this.

Please continue to keep this forum clean. That's one of the reasons I visit, because I feel the forum is well maintened. There are so many automotive forums around where people with big mouths and less knowledge are allowed to talk freely.
