I've no idea I'm afraid - looks like a dowel, but it obviously isn't one, or it would be called "dowel"!

Labeled "NOZZLE" in my CD Version of the ETK

In the CD version 1.1.0 (20Nov03) that part is labeled a "Nozzle". The picture is the same as the "RealOEM" picture. Thought the alternate description might help.

Regards,

Reg.

nozzle

That part is a oil nozzle that controls oil flow to the head. (oil pressure) I have seen it on gustavs e30 m3 site (do a search on yahoo). Again, it must be fitted or oil pressure to the head will be affected.

Thanx your reply.

To day I stripped the block and prepare to give in to overbore.
The block is in good condition. The "jet" missing.
To morrow afternoon I will receive back from the boreing. (first overbore size)

My problem If I order this JET it will arrive minimum 2 week.
I dont wanna keep open the engine of mi love (S38)

Does anyone know the exact size of the Jet . 2-3 mm? or what?
I can make it becaiuse I have a machine to produced this Jet. Just the mesaure missing.

Ask davioli - he has a block that he can maybe measure the jet/nozzle for you! I guess it carries extra oil into the head so that makes it important

?

Thanx

I checked the JET in the ETK. Every M engined old car have this JET.
E30 M3 , E34 M5, E36 M3

Inside the block 2 oil hole. One on the front left side and one on the back left side. The jet only in the front left side hole or both oil hole shoud be equiped with JET.

In the ETK for me not so clear...1 or 2 pc jet shoud be install.
