OT :- Humble Pie ?

OK,

So we've all debated (including myself), earlier today the 'rights' and 'wrongs' of re-badging a standard 540i/6 and turning it into an Essex-born E34 M5.

Well it may be time for a slice of humble pie for me.

I've just today bought an E39 540i Auto - which looks a little bit like an E39 M5 from one or two angles.

I'll let you decide how and where ! :-

I

am

I am biased, but I do feel this car's transformation is a little more 'tastefully' done than most !

P.S. I have NO intention of putting ANY ///M badges on it - anywhere ! - people can make their own minds up as to what it is, or what it isn't - it'l be fully 'de-badged' when it arrives on my driveway next week.

Nice car Tel.

Debadged is definitely the way to go. I take it you chose a slush box out of preference..?

I hear your journey will be 100 miles a day, did you consider a 530d (chipped)?
