yes it is possible that your car has no O2 sensor.

There is another board member with a car in south africa who has pointed out that his car does not have an 02 sensor as well.

I stand to be corrected by those with more experience than I, but I find this hard to believe. IIRC my previous training in Bosch systems said that the motronic systems like those in our cars will not funtion correctly without an O2 sensor

If this is the same item as the lambda sensor that attaches to the exhaust system near the cats, then mine ran fine without one - not that I knew it didn't have one though. Only realised when I replaced the aftermarket system (basically a few cheap steel pipes with flexible stainless sections and no cats).

Hi, I search a connector for the lambda sensor under the car, but not luck..

How can view if the car originally came with this sensor?

It is important for the fuel economy?

Thanks

I think I have some pictures of where the sensor should be - I'll try and post them up over the weekend!

In theory your fuel consumption might suffer if the O2 sensor is broken, but if your car does not have one then it probably doesn't need one - the MAF on the air intake is controlling the fuelling.

Can you post what your fuel economy is so we can compare for you?
Good luck
