That is strange because the colour-schedule for the E34 M5 seems to show
that -zero- E34 M5-cars left the factory with this colour incl. the -special order paint- cars.
Does anyone happen to know the VIN of this CH car ? or can confirm that the
car had a re-paint in a non-original colour ? or is this another colour that
looks like -Estoril- ?

interesting. painted lowers could have been done w/ a full respray. also, no m-badge on the front grill. possibility it's a full m-tech kit, but it seems to have the black and amaretta sport seats...quite a lot spent if that's not a real M5. my guess would be respray.

sure looks like Estoril to me

Karl,

I'm inclined to agree with you.

I seem to remember Estoril Blue being a new colour that BMW used to launch the E36 M3 Evo 3.2 321bhp back in mid-1996(ish) - as an update to the earlier E36 M3 3.0.

If so, then Estoril was a new BMW ///M colour option that wasn't therefore available for E34 M5 production, which had already ended - hence the expalanation that you can't record any factory cars built in this colour ?

I must say it seems to suit the car well in the photo above - shame about the elephant-ear wingmirrors, tho'
