Anyone at the Ring this coming weekend?

Are any other board members planning on being at the Ring this coming weekend?

I will be around Friday pm / Saturday / Sunday, so if you are there please feel free to come and have a chat...

Car will be a UK LE in Orinocco with an M5 registration...

Surely there can't be too many UK LE cars at the Ring this weekend as a fair few will be at the Goat Meet by the sound of things (bad timing on my behalf!)

Shame a few of us are there later in the July but not this weekend for me.

Hopefully see you soon.

Have a great time out there.

Look forward to hearing about your experiences - using the car as BMW intended !

Don't forget that this weekend will be even busier than normal as the Old Timer GP is on at the GP Strecke and I'm guessing there'll be the usual amount of stoppages (i.e. track closed 50% of the time)

Thanks for the advice guys...

I'm hoping that staying locally will give clear(ish) mornings and that at least a couple of relativley traffic free laps might be possible... Still, as long as they are not clearing up my car, then I'll be happy to wait! Besides, after all the work he has put into sorting out my car, I think Faz might be justifyably cross if I bend it this coming weekend...

Terry - it's been a decade since I've been there, trust me this time I'll be taking it easy and getting used to the car and the track - I'm not as experienced as you boys... but it will get 'used' don't worry. I think really that David has the right idea with the road legal track toy approach, this was something I had considered... and if visits become regular something I may well do to avoid wrecking the LE.

Simon - For some reason I just seem to be on bad timing this year, I've missed the goat (OK, to be at the ring) but would have come along otherwise, and sadly I cannot make the ring July as I'm on family vacation when you are all there...

As someone has suggested earlier this week, perhaps we should use the forthcoming BMW meet at Gaydon to all get together? A big line of E34 M5's would look fantastic...!
