Collected My Sebring 3.6 !

She was collected on Monday night , passed her MOT on Tuesday and is due a damn good pampering between now and our Ring trip this April .

The seller apparently has the original turbine covers in his shed for me ..... I'll believe it when I see it !

The clear side repeaters are due in at BMW tomorrow , along with S50B32 Tensioner , rear axle beam bushes , air/oil filter , Upper and lower control arms , arb drop links , tie rod ends , Bosch Y6DC plugs and the Silkolene Pro S 5w40 oil has been sitting in the garage for the best part of a year now , so that's going in too , as there is no way I am putting that into my wife's E46 !

Leave the covers off, Dave - it looks more 'street' !

Looking foward to hopefully giving it a 'run for it's money' in April................

Hopefully......

Looks very nice, the grey is lovely. What is the mileage and general condition?

It has a Northern Ireland registration, was she bought new in Ireland.

Looks great with no boot spoiler, if you could get your hands on the original turbine wheel covers,it would look fantastic.

I am getting to like the E34 more and more each day.

Best of luck with her, Is this one a keeper?

Regards,

Bayerische

Thanks Bayerische .

She has always been a UK car , production Feb 91 . The po got the plate with an old Rover that he bought and transferred it onto Sebring Sienna upon selling the Rover .

They are all keepers until something more exciting comes along and one should never say never , although I could be quoted as saying that I will definitely be keeping this one !

Right! you will be held to that.

The E34 M5 has really been growing on me lately and I have been toying with the Idea of joining the club, I just don't know if I can justify buying another car.

One question, and I don't mean to hijack you post David, do most 3.6 owners replace the rear self leveling suspension system with a standard and less problematic suspension?

Regards,

Bayerische

I personally won't .....Mauritius Maria ( my former 3.6 ) had sls and handled great .

Equally , I have had a LHD 3.6 that had adjustable Koni's and , whilst a touch firmer , that handled great too !

Bayerische , the way you look after your cars , I don't envisage the standard sls becoming a problem for you .

Maybe other members may care to comment .

I know that Sebring NL knows an awful lot about these cars and he is maintaining the sls on his 3.6 !

The SLS on Sebring's Sebring was binned quite a while ago. It runs Koni - Eibach....
