Micro filter installation (need help)

Have any of you tried changing the micro filter for the AC? I downloaded the guide on E34 M5 FAQ page but when I got to the part where you remove the yellow colored cover with the 30 torx bit that the "sword" is attached to mine has none! The "sword" is there but it is attached to a solid piece of black plastic that does not come off. My car did have alot of work done on the AC before I purchased it but it was done at a BMW dealership. Would that make any difference. Any ideas on where or if my car has a micro filter? If not I have a free microfilter to send someone. Thanks in advance.
