Understood that I'm new to the board, but plan to keep as long as I'm alive... even thinking of who to will it to in the unexpected case of...

I've said it before... e34 is one of a only a few timeless designs left on road...it's great to standout in the sea of overly textured body styles, "I can out-do you" headlamps, fake exhaust tips, 32" rims (I'm sure they'll be out soon!) and overly-complicated-for-no-reason audio, trip, and comfort controls. yeee-haawww!

With current values, selling would be the last thing on my mind.

I never had a car this long except for my Ascona (owned since I was 17). Sometimes, I long for something a bit more suitable for daily use, such as an E38 740d or E39 530d , but I'd have to run it on my business which I think is expensive tax-wise.

So yeah, I think the E34 will stay as long as I can provide it with good parking. The maintenance is part of the fun for me.

Have been asked to sell mine for silly money....and am in two minds. Would love an Alpina B10 V8 or an E39 M5...but love the E34 and the colour / performance. Watch this space.
