OT- Im Back!

Hi All,As title suggests I am back, been a little bit of a struggle as we've just taken on our first mortgage and being able to keep possession of the Sebring was a bit dicey at a couple of moments, but Im pleased to say its now tucked away in its new home!
I have managed to look in from time to time using an internet connection whenever possible but time has been tight.
Seems I have missed a few things,Congrats to Terry on his newest family addition and the unfortunate demise of the Sebring (how many are left actually functioning?) Wout is your car up and running Yet? Alan, how many have you wrecked?Does Davidoli still have a driving licence? Is Farrel still snowed under keeping others cars on the road?

No doubt I will catch up,feels good to be back and looking forward to some sensible conversation that doesnt include 'what colour are we going to paint the kitchen, etc.etc!
Mods feel free to delete.

Welcome back, and felicitations Dan.

Been wondering where you were.

Glad to hear things are working out for you. I may be picking your brains re rebuild over the coming weeks and months. 90% sure I'll rebuild, no time frame yet though.

I can attest that Wout's car is in fine fettle. I think the M gods only allow a certain number of sebrings to function at one time!

Cheers

T

PS all we need now is Illjah to reappear !

Thanks M8! I too spent time tying to decide whether to rebuild or simply replace, tried a mixture of the two first time round which didnt go well!
Rebuild is the only sure fire way IMHO,gives you the confidence that you require when pushing hard, plus the massive amounts of satisfaction.

Im glad Wout's car is back on form, drove mine for first time in 5 months yesterday, what a feeling! I would imagine the M gods do not let too many Sebrings to run at once as owners of lesser coloured cars may get upset!

P.s. So is Alan also AWOL?

Dan!!!

Great to have you back!

As you can see in the Sticky thread, my car is up and running. Only things left are the 345mm brake fitment and the MOT (handbrake + windscreen washers fail). I;ve bought a set of Turbines aswell, and an M535i!! (which is in no shape, but soon will be !)

the damm unfortunate incident with Terry's Sebring still sucks. FFS.

Wout excellent news, just finished reading your trials and tribulations. Ajob bloody well done,Congrats!
Noticed the M535 on your sig, still miss mine. More of a hot rod feeling than the e34,noticably lighter, what a machine. Would love another but cannot see it happening in the forseeable future, you never know though!
I am still undecided on the turbine look,i get the originality view but not really my cup of tea,Had to sell my throwing stars a few months back when things got tight, but thanks to baby bro have now got my hands on a recently refurbed set that are tidier than my originals. Still proudly wearing the M para's at the min though! (IMO the sexiest wheels ever made)

I fear that Terry's problem may have come about due to me finally going back to mine after such a long period of being locked away out of the light of day?
a la M god discussion above!

Hi Dan
Good to hear from you again.
Its been a while m8.
I was down in Cornwall at Xmas.
Would have looked you up but the dreaded cold & flu bug
sweeping the UK, transmitted by smll children to their
parents put an end to those thoughts.

Hmmm..1st Mortgage = hard going.
Keep your chin up.

Cheers
Farrell

Hi Dan,

Welcome back and thanks again for the advice when I was buying the BL01500, the Kernow based M5T which is coming up for it's anniversary in my hands and the Yorkshire weather.

Glad to have you back on the board

ditto Farrell's comment on a first mortgage - chin up and keep paddling

Thanks lads, paddling? seems about right, just wish the waves would stop coming in! I also got hitby the nasty manflu,I am an excellent target with our school buses running 500or so of the snivelling little darlings around on a daily basis.
Still got my baby, that was the biggest worry throughtout.
Glad M5t is behaving for you Kevin, our 'on the phone' diagnostics were a bt of a gamble andIm glad it payed off for you.Wish I was in a position to buy her myself but Anna would have had a major sense of humour failure if I suggested living in touring!
