She won't start!!!!! HELP!

I have been trying to retrofit Cruise COntrol for a while now and tonight i went about checking out my car and to try fit the parts i have aquired.
Anyway all i really managed was to remove the panels in the drivers footwell so that i could connect the cruise control stalk which i put in place only to discover the steering column shroud doesnt fit with the stalk in place so i then removed it again and put everything back together.
I then go to start the car and it doesn't start
It turns over and is definetly trying to go, there is a couple of splutters put just wont start. As if it isn't getting enough fuel or not sparking.

Is there anything in the footwell that could affect the car in this way, i did struggle to get a panel in and forced it a bit but i can't see any damage or disconnected wire.

Any ideas would be great thanks.

Could be a red herring, but did you disturb anything connected to the OBC stalk.

When you set the security code on the OBC the engine will turn over but not fire.

Try disconnecting the battery for half an hour.

Good luck.............electrics is dark juju!!!

It's very possible as the OBD and cruise control stalk connectors are right beside each other. I did disconnect the battery but only briefly, i give it a shot. Cheers

If you disconnected the vehicle battery you've probably
erased all the engine reference data in the DME.
This means the engine will run like a pig for a while whilst it recalibrates
itself.

You may find it WILL start if you use some gas....

If not then yes, its fair to say you've disturbed something.

Does your car have a 3rd party immobilisor ?
