Inspection I & II checklist please

My Inspection light just went Ding!!

Just a question.

I have the £50 Bentley manual for the 5 series, bought to help me repair my 535i. (highly recommended)

With the 535i being the donor car for the M5, I have a list in the book of all things to do in a service, but the book does not cover the M5 specifically.

So, my main question is ;

What is in an inspection II for a E34 M5, that is additional to the Inspection II for a 535i or other 5 series?

Also,
I don`t really want to do the valve clearances myself.
Does anyone here do their own maintenance, then use a dealer for this job?
How much does a dealer charge?
Is it R E A L L Y hard to do, and is it worth buying the £200 valve spring compressor to do it?
If it is not rocket science, then would anyone take some money from me to lend me the tool and write me some distructions, oh, sorry that should read instructions. lol.

Ta,

Ivan

Ivan,

An inspection II costs 539.49 inc VAT

Minus 50.00 for the four plus deal

Minus 10% discount (if they like you!!!)

It works out at aprox 450.00 all in

The valve clearances alone cost about 200.00 including a new rocker gasket. Hardly worth bothering yourself as if you get it slightly wrong its rocker cover off again and new gasket etc etc. If they get it wrong they sort it!!
