White car owners please!!

Hi White Car owners.

Would any of you be so kind as to send me three pictures of your white car, but matching the angles shown in the images below?

I can take any resolution from any digital camera, please send to me at abcwarrior@btinternet.com

My car is now so badly faded on the drivers side and bonnet that I am considering a colour change. I would like to photoshop on my wheels etc at high res and see what it looks like.

I did PM a couple of people but either they did not have opportunity to take pics or the ISPs aggressive spam filter must have killed them!

Many thanks.

Ivan

I wouldn't do a color change unless you can take out the engine.

Take out the engine is the same as

Open pandorra's box.

Don't do it.

Due to various fluid leaks, engine might be out very soon anyway!

Hence asking now. Yup, white is the new silver

I'm also having the headlining redone right now; it's currently in the bathroom covered in swatches of various foam backed sample sheets from suppliers of headling material!
I was sick of it hanging down and flapping when the back windows were open.

If this doesn't work out economical or whatever, then I might just buy a white car, but I would still like three pictures as mentioned above. I want to photoshop T'Stars, Turbines, Black Turbines, Black Halfwheels, Dark Grey wheels onto it and see what I'm going to do.

Someone with a white car and a sunny day, help!!

Regards

Ivan.

sorry mate color changes are a no-no save for trackcars IMO.

Without a full ( bare ) strip, there will always be annoying areas resurfacing in red..

David it looks amazing from those pics

But you know what I mean right?

a color change is IMO an interior-out, engine out job.

Not sure if any E34 is worth that.

Ivan

The car will need a very thick layer of primer, unless you'd like to get red stonechips etc.

If you are going for bare metal, be aware. Don't say I didn't warn!

Wout , you are completely aware of the work involved and are right to highlight the potential problem areas .....even that SL500 had small tell tale signs that it had had a total respray .......

I personally would not entertain a full body respray on an E34 M5 unless the driveline and rolling chassis of that car was so special she was worthy of the time and expense !

Mmm.... white cars not to common around here then!

Thanks for the pics but not quite the angle I needed.

There is a 525TDS near me on autotrader, I might have to go and photograph it myself at some point.

I'll wait and see if any of American cousins wake up as the world rotates and time zones pass, see if any of them can help me out.

Regards,

Ivan
