Yesterday, I bought a steering wheel of an E36 ///M3 (same as E30 M3, E34 M5), to install in my sixer. When I got home, I compared it to my original steering wheel, to make sure I could swap the little disk that contains the contact for the horn. Then I saw the diameter of the center hole in both steering wheels differs. Does anyone know if conversion pieces to switch from one diameter to the other exist (the hole in the E36 steering wheel is the biggest of the two...)?
Another solution would be to throw the E36 steering wheel away, and install a sport steering wheel and find a hub for the E24, but this is only a backup solution, I really would like to go for the E36 steering wheel.
I just checked realoem.com, and I found quite some part numbers for this steering wheel:
32332226543 E34
32332226086 E30
32332226808 E30
32332226741 E36
32332226085 E32
Any idea how I can find out if the center hub of any of these fits my '84 E24?
