brake pads

I'm looking for some brake pads that will be suitable for heavy street and light track (regular autocrosses, occasional track day) use. I know this has been visited many times, but I'd like to hear from people who strongly like or dislike certain pads for this type of driving.
I don't want to swap pads when I go to an autocross, and I don't want to eat my rotors. My original choice was Pagid Sport, but availability seems to be a problem.
Thanks!

you may want to research Mintex "red" pads. I had that on my M5 and worked out great for me.

RARE- Thanks.
Paul- Yeah, I did. Thanks a lot. I had kind of forgotten about it since I abandoned my dreams of finding 850 calipers (found them, but very expensive (raised price of brake package about $1000 between calipers, rotors, etc.)).
I checked out Porterfield again, and I'm trying to decide between the Porterfield R4S pads and the Performance Friction Z-Rated. I guess the Hawk HP Plus pads are really rough on rotors. However, I don't know if the same applies to either of the two I mentioned above.

Re: brake pads

I know this is an old post
but stay away from the porterfield r4s pads , it lasted only 30 mins on a roadcourse , the hp10 is a way better pad for hot street , autox and limited road course work. dusts like a mo fo though. the hawk hp10 isa little rough when cold on rotors though.
