how rare are they.............

becoming now, the e24 6 series I mean?
Apart from a few at the ring last week, I can't remember when I saw one last on the road, being used daily. I see a number up for sale, mainly in poor order, ready for a resto, but that's it really. Where have they all gone? UK at least I imagine that the rust has killed off a fair few.

Here in the US good M635's or M6 as they call them here, seem to be going up in price. I see them advertised from $15K and up. Even as high as $25K. They are now entering the 15year + bracket, so I'd expect them to increase steadily from now on. How much is anyones guess... Get looking cars IMHO.

Today, the owner of an E24 is a Bmw enthusiat. Cars in bad shape are starting to dissapear ( rust and more rust ). I remenber a guy bought a TT and having one garage he had no better idea than leaving his really nice 633csi ( with recaro seats, M front spoiler and dog leg gearbox ) in the street !! He didn't even drive it so the car started to rust badly. He finally took it to the scarpyard, with just 77000 km on the clock !! Sad, very sad.

Apart from this one the ones I see in the road and Bmw events are in top condition and some of them still daily use cars ! But I don't see many unfortunately.

Spain is pretty big, but I wouldn't have thought that Spain had a big rust issue. Except along the coast of course..

I'm still amazed how many nice old cars there is in California! My neighbor has a practially rust free 65 beetle and in those days the underside was only painted! There are tons of 2002, 3.0cs and E24s. Many have burnt out interiors from the sun, but that is better to deal with than rust....

Anyone looking for nice older cars should checkout California.
