I am alive and well and so is my site

The international domains (e31.net, e31.org) are reconnected already, the .de domains and old domainnames (e31.de, bmw850.de, 850csi.de etc) are still in the process of being transferred. Note that www.e31.net is the official address (its downtime was less than 24 hours).

Here's the story behind all this:

On April 23rd my webspace provider cancelled the contract without telling me why. In fact they listed several reasons and said that it was one of them but not which. The reasons were: pornography, Nazi propaganda, copyright violations, bad scripts (I don't have any), high server stress. Of course I was banned from their support forum and they 'weren't allowed' to talk to me on the phone.

I had unlimited traffic by contract and somehow I must have gone beyond that Of course they cannot admit it so they don't tell me the real reason. The same happened to three other people that day - only they earn money with their sites.

Well, the html files and images are now already on an other server. The MPEG files will be hosted on a different one. There will be more in time and they will have better quality. And at least from time to time there will be high resolution and high quality versions of the clips. And I don't mean MPEG-2, no I mean the DV stream from the camera in .avi format ::.

I'll be back...

...Mike
