E31 w/ s62s3

has anyone made the transfer or know of anyone who has made the s62 swap into a e31. would the s62 even fit the engine bay. i think this would make for a very potent m8, even a dinan s3 conversion on top of the transfer. do you think all the electronics/wiring would work in unison?

There is an M60 E31, so I don't think an S62 would be a problem. Also, the larger M70 was the std for developing the car and thats a lot bigger than V8

The E31 840Ci is the answer.. It will fit with no issues. But what will give you hard time is the the cluster and the ignition key. You have to spent quite time on it.I was thinking to start a project like that. To get 840Ci hi miles and take the engine out and get the S62. I never did it because I dont thik so its worth it 8 serries is very havy car and even with the S62 you will be not able to do 300km/h no way ! ! ! I would say save nerves, time, and money !!! Start search for 850CSi a car that will keep always good value and power house torque making easy 300km/h clik hear http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rcOttE3tt8. E39 M5 is having some issue making 300km/h I allready tested 2 cars 290km/h and after that you have to wait for downihll or the wind to change from behind. Good luck.

driving top speed would not be the purpose of that build, for one its the show of mechnical abilty two, its would be a screemer. the heir of having the b56 is cool, but from the old days at the dealership, the techs said to steer clear of it for mechincal reasons, car is already heave true indeed thats where dinan comes into play with the FI.

donar car would have to be a csi if i were to build it.

anybody know the in's and out's of the zeemax conversion.i read the body shop that does the install also hand makes the arches. yes / no what wheels are those, are they still on the market.

I always say If you want to play you"ve got to pay.. So if you want show mechanical schills that is a differente conversation.. But bottom lilne its not worth the money, time and what will have as a final product the car will be not faster Versus BMW 850CSi Original car with maching numbers, made by BMW Motorsport GmbH in Garhing. If you have money and time sure you can start the project. I am building E30 M3 from original S14weeeek engine to the S38B38 from E34 M5 that is big time difference from what it was ! Imagine that engine was made to pull the E34 M5 Wagon weight 1700 kilos versus 1200kilos E30 M3 that is a visible difference
