This car has been advertised on-and-off in the back of Classic and Sportscar for a few years now. Being in the French part of the classifieds didn't help it, considering Classic and Sportscar's layout!

There's another one of these cars about, I should have a pic of it at Spa Francorchamps in 1996 or '97. I'll email it to you.

Edit: Here you go, the scan is shite, but this is the other car, the bits below are cutouts of the wristbands for the event......

Re: FYI: One of the 1986 French racers.......

After giving this Spa-picture a better look it doesn't seem to be a factory racecar. Since the pictures on CarClassic are the first decent set I've seen of the factory e28 racers, I've never had a decent chance to compare. It's more likely to be one of the many ETCC cars built by JUMA and the likes, based on 528i. I did see the engine compartement of the Spa-car back then, and it definetly had a M88/S38 engine in it...... I don't remember which.

The e30 M3 front bumper and rear spoiler are rather crude.......

After 25 years of understeer, a proper Quattro at last.
