        Dinan Chip and Cam Sprocket?

Just installed my Dinan chip and sport cam sprocket. I am a bit disappointed. Dinan claims 49 horsepower gain with the chip alone. The car does seem to have a flatter torque curve and seems to have more pull across the entire rev range (no dropping off between 3000 annd 5000 rpm like before) but it sure doesn't feel like an additional 49 horsepower. Feels more like 10-15 + horsepower. Any of you out there have similar experiences.

I had the same problem. Changed and adjusted the throttle position sensor. All was well after that. Give it a shot, it's money well spent anyway as a matenance concern.

        thisiskissel,

In response to my post, re: rough idle, others have suggested the problem might lie with the throttle position sensor. My questions are, what exactly does this sensor do, what is it's role in the fuel injection system? Did you replace this sensor yourself? If you did do the work yourself how easy/difficult was the job?

        Thanks,
