E28 M5 A/C compressor part number
Hi all,

Would appreciate some assistance - any idea what the part number is for the A/C compressor - I've just purchased BMWGN's lovely M5 but the VIN no. was a NZ reissue and none of the online resellers like the VIN!

Hi Alvin,

The RealOEM site used to work for the SA-built cars, but seems to have blocked them out now.

As a workaround, just enter a Serial number for a DC92 M5 (UK) such as 1679145, and you should get the full euro spec M5 parts list.

Or alternatively, enter your car's own serial 0965306 and it will come up as a 535 ZA (all SA M5 serial numbers work the same), then just select 'M5' then Europe - 03/1987 - RHD and you'll also end up with the DC92 parts list, which is essentially the same as the SA cars.

Sorting out the aircon I see - I guess it's essential in the SA climate this time of year!

If you like I can ask around here to see if anyone has a good used compressor.
