Thanks for claryfing; The last KBA listing that I have seen doesn't mention the E28 M5 because of keynumber '000'. But mr Hopel may have 110 in his personal records, but he certainly doesn't have them all. I have discussed this with another long-term German owner many years ago, and he estimated that more or less 400 survived.

I drove there twice to look at cars that were supposedly pristine and undamaged. The blue last-50 Biturbo he advertised forever which turned out to have a badly replaced rear wing and boot floor, and a Z8 that had clearly visible dome deformation. Kleissler IMHO is an average trader just like any other. The only difference is his cleaners try hard.
