        Bmw M6?

For those of you that have driven an e28 M5 and an e24 M6, do they perform about the same?

I know the M6 is heavier at 3570 pounds, but does it still have the stellar grip and ease of oversteer that the M5 does? My friend has an E28 M5 and it is alot of fun to ride around in, and the handling is superb. The tail can go out very easily with that much power in his car (about 270-300).

Does the M6 perform about the same in straight line and in the twisties? What are some good cheap suspension modifications that would make a difference?

        Thanks!

by what I've read, it's every bit as good, but better?
Post a Q on the 850/M6 part of this board, some one is bound to have experience on this.

My Bronzit `88 M6 (91,300 mi) was not as quick as my wife's `88 M5 (192,000 mi.) until I 'chipped it' w/Jim Conforti's TMS one. Hers still feels more 'sudden' & masculine due to the 750i bushings & fresher front shock inserts, and fresh SLS accumulators. Both will eventually run the same tires (SP-8000's), but the M6 still has the M+S's on it which it came with in 7/2000.
The M6 is more of a freeway flier. Being lighter on its feet, the M5 feels more agile. She won't give it up & hates to even for maintenance!

        Ron.

        M6 SLS stuff

Sure, no prob., Chris. The supplier I recommend is www.gapa.com. Had I known about them when I did mine, I'd have paid no more than 2/3's of what I did.

There is NO bleeding necessary. Read the BCG Tech. Library notes (http://www.normgrills.net/bcg/Suspen...ml#anchor35786) & you'll see this. They are self-bleeding. BTW, know what Pentosin 7.1 actually is? VERY EX$PEN$IVE, high grade mineral oil, ferchrisakes!
