E28 M5 Individual story ?
Hello,

As I know around the end of e28 production time it was possible to order individual M5 like special colors, etc. I have seen a picture from a garage with such a individual m5 couple of years ago.

I would like to ask if you have any information about this individual program. I am interested in:

- when this m5 individual program started ?
- was it only for m5 ? (what about other e28 cars, m6, 323i, etc)
- what was the full list of the individual equipments ?
- how much has such a individual m5 costed ?
- are there any periodic magazine article or e28 brochure discuss this individual e28 m5 serie ?

Maybe you've seen this thread?

E28 M5 Individual

Mine has this - "Sonderlackierung" special paint and leather - built in July 1986 so reasonably early in production, and i believe 20 of the 187 UK cars had this optional paint, no idea of the number of EU ones though.

I'm not aware of any magazine articles on the cars with unusual option combinations - only the lposts here.
