This is 080 in Lachs silver.

One of 6 GB cars with Buffalo hide, it also has 301 anti-theft lock, 339 Satin Black Chrome, 403 Glass panel sunroof, 459 memory for drivers' seat, 494 front seats heating, 510 interior headlights adjustment, 715 M-Technic aerodynamic styling kit. This is in addition to the usual GB spec and would suggest it was a car built to a specific customer order rather than for BMW GB/dealer stock.

Regards

Mfiver

This car has been on my radar for quite some time, as it was also advertised on Car and Classic UK - and still is if this ad is still current:
BMW M5 E28 For Sale (1986) on Car And Classic UK
It seems to be in excellent condition, with a high spec and good history. Colour is right, but mileage could be a tad high for me.
However the seller can't be too serious anyway, as I've received no reply to two emails I sent about the car.

A big favour please

Hi everyone

I have now been in contact with the selling dealer for this car, and wondered if there is anyone among our UK friends who will be near Tamworth in the Midlands, or even passing through the area, who wouldn't mind casting a critical, expert eye over this car for me?
If so, the man to contact at Avantgarde is Jonathan, Tel 07968694448.
To quote Jonathan:
"The M5 is still available. It has had 5 former keepers. It is in fantastic condition with no evidence of rust on the bodywork. It has a full service history, there are 20 stamps in the service history booklet plus many invoices and old MOTs present.
The VIN is WBSDC920101679080"

and
"It is a very genuine car indeed. I am located in Tamworth in the midlands. I am more than happy for you to send somebody to veiw the car".
[Note that the VIN makes this a Sep 86 car, which falls just short of the larger diameter anti roll bars and Boge shocks that were introduced in Oct 86].

So, I know it's a lot to ask of a virtual stranger, but is anyone keen?
If you are interested, you can either send me a PM or just report back via this thread.
[Please don't go to too much trouble on my behalf - just if you are in the area and have some time to take a look at it, I would be most grateful].

Kind Regards,
Peter
