Looking For A Particular E28 M5: VIN # 2875113

Hey folks,

Interesting story...

Myself and a group of friends recently purchased an '88 325iS in non-running condition to turn into a race car. Call it a "project car".

In the glovebox were TWO service booklets. One belonged to the '88 325iS, and another belonged to an '88 M5. Both were signed as "John Jantz" in the "Name of Owner" category. Mr. Jantz lived in Victorville, CA at the time of purchase of these two cars (they were purchased a few months apart).

The M5 is VIN# WBSDC9303J2875113. It was purchased at Savage BMW in October or November of 1989, from what I can tell. Black exterior of course, with "NATUR" interior.

I'm not sure if Mr. Jantz still owns the M5, but I want to get this service booklet back to him or whoever it is that currently owns that particular M5. If any of you know the car, or know Mr. Jantz, please get in touch with me to help track him down. I know it doesn't seem like a big deal to some, but the E28 M5 is one of the more collectible BMWs of the last 20 years in my opinion, and I'd like to get this service booklet back in the glovebox of the car to which it belongs...

Ben

Hi Saliya,

Yes, definitely 2875113.

I saw some of your wheels at Carlos' recently when I was in there to talk to him about clear powdercoating for the lips of the Style 5's on my Touring. Nice stuff, as always.
