Way off topic...then back on it again

Kleintje -

'Chime' - the musical sound made by bells; to sound harmoniously; to be in harmony; to agree with.

Definitions from my old school dictionary (no, I'm not saying what year it was published - but it was before my M5 was built....).

Regards

Mfiver

PS - I have very much enjoyed reading this thread - I do hope it doesn't get towed away (the car, not the thread). The car's English licence plate is from the County of Gloucestershire but I cannot say if it's the original mark or not. I suspect it is, though. There will be a stamp mark on the tax disc in the windshield that shows where the disc was issued.

I happen to agree that E12 M535i deserves a spot on this board - the car that showed BMW for certain that there was a market for this type of car. Strange (maybe) that this model was 'in your face' as we say here, yet the first M5 was much more discreet, at least it was without the M-Technic aerodynamic styling kit....

UPDATE UPDAT UPDATE

I contacted our local "District policeman". He red my email and he cheked the car. It was not reported stolen but it is illigaly parked. Not insured...No dutch regristration plates.

He knows the guys from the inviroment police (the guys who take cares of iligily dumped garbadge etc etc (this is an international forum and its difficult to translate some ocupations :-) ). He will ask them to contact me as soon as they tow away the car to a Demolitioncompany so I can do business with those guys. Then ofcourse its the question about price; And to make the car legal again....(RDW stuff).

Pfffffff I feel like CSI :-)

Beginning of next year the will renovate the street. So the car will be moved. I'll keep an I on it and will contact the police on regular base.

As I an expert told me; The car is not in a original state. The seats are not original and one of the doors is from a Že28. Nevertheless a nice looking car and a waist to let it rot outside.

Will keep you posted!

Its GONE

I am not home. I am on the grand canaries (last day 2day....).

I didn't receive any email from the police so i asume the owner took it.

This morning I had two weird dreams of the car.

The first one was that I found the owner. I told him about the car and what I was driving and then he replied; A M5? What kind of VAN is that? I was shocked.... I woke up and in the next dream a received a phone call (I left my number on a note under de whiper) from an old man or woman. I couldn't hear. That he/she told me that he/she was happy to got my phone number. He/she wanted to sell the car badly....and than I woke up again

It was so life like....very weird.

I will call monday the policeman. Perhaps it was towed away and they didn't call me....

To be continiued....

Oh....Greetings from the Canarys
