Suggest me a good polish!

Hey Guys,

I have a problem with my current paint correction set up. The polish I use following a compound is Menzerna Intensive Polish which does not fully remove the marring resulting from the initial compound. I have tried the polish on a variety of pads but still no dice. Can you guys recommend me an affordable polish that would better remove the marring from a compound?

P.S. The correcting is done mostly on BMWs

Thanks!

Menzerna super intensive polish. Megiuars #105 ultra cut compound. It can take out a lot of major defects and the best part about it is that it does not finish like a normal compound. You can always finish it up with #205.

You have been given sound advice, I will echo those sentiments regarding Meguiars 105 and 205, both are very versatile and finish down extremely well. Menzerna make a great product too but can be a little pricey. This website, Detailed Image - Premium Auto Detailing and Car Care Products is where I go for all of my detailing needs, they also have a fantastic tutorial section as well as a support community that is extremely helpful! Also, Bimmers tend to have "hard paint" allowing you to sometimes go with a more aggressive polish/pad combo. On my 335i I found that a two step polish starting with 105 on a orange cutting pad with a Flex XC3401 DA buffer followed with 205 on a black finishing pad worked really well for my car which pretty bad swirls and holograms from someone who didn't know how to use a rotary buffer.

Couldn't agree more. The Meguiars 105 & 205 combo is brilliant. I use them on a Rotary with 3M pads.

What do you mean by "it does not finish like a like a normal compound?" What does a normal compound finish like?

I have bad swirls from the dealership I bought my car from. Last year I used Zaino PC, AIO, Z-5, and Z-2. It looked great until my local dealer ran it through their car wash and the original swirls came back through. I must have filled them in rather than taken them out.
