Can I Clay with Car Shampoo?

Rather than use a spray wax as the lubricant, can I use a very soapy bucket of P21S Total Wash and clay with that? I'm thinking I wash the car first, then with a fresh bucket of car wash shampoo (the P21S) I do my claying, then a final wash, rinse and dry.

Currently I wash the car, then dry it, then clay it, then wash it again, then dry it. I would save a ton of time if I could incorporate the claying into the washing.

I'm a Zaino user, but the principle should be the same. Lubricant should be diluted car wash, in a spray bottle. Spray the liquid on the patch of paint, then work with clay, and lube as necessary. Claying is about working small surface areas (cleaner->dirtier), using hardly any pressure, lubricating generously, and folding often. Whether you are talking about a) dipping the clay into a bucket repeatedly, as your only source of lubrication, or b) claying while a large area of paint is still soapy from the wash -- neither is optimal.
