Tape vs Emblem Removal

Quick question, why not remove the BMW emblems on hood and trunk? After replacing my trunk emblem and realizing that it would take longer to tape it off then just remove it.. Also seems like you could do a better polish/wax job.

I think I have seen one post that removed emblems, and even the plastic trim, I know that might be a bit excessive though...

I am taking my car to someone in the coming week or two to do a good paint detailing on my car, get the swirls out of the black, and revive it to its show ability quality...
Wondering if I should remove emblems for him, and maybe even trim?

It's easy to remove. It just pops off, use a knife covered in some cloth so u dont scratch a paint

If the detailer is that good, he should be taking the emblems off as part of the detail without you having to ask him. Also, have him put a tiny bit of lithium grease on the pins on the bottom of the badge to make removal easier next time.

Thanks Matt. I did not ask him about it, just realized after looking at a lot of posts on here and autopia that nobody seems to do it...
Once rain quits I plan to call for a well needed paint cleaning.

My method for keeping bumper strips 100% wax free
Found that while searching. I am going to avoid this step, as mine are painted and I dont want to risk messing up the paint on them.. But looks simple enough otherwise.
