Then use this to give you even more depth....and protection by hand.

Price $35.00 for the jar us dollars..

For a total of $75.00 us....this will last you a longtime! I have over $1,000 in waxs/finishing products that have been tried over the past year....yea Zaino, Zymol, Meguiars, the laser BS one, eagle1...ect.......I tell you now.....THIS IS THE COMBO YOU NEED TO USE!

I have had many black cars in my life and many debates with my father in law on wax/finishes as he Only GETS BLACK in his cars. This has driven me to learn more than him and most people about polishes and care and show him up.

If no swirls...just us the FINISHING GLAZE and the PS-21s......you will be SHOCKED!!!!!!!! $55.00 investment....give it a try...

even the 3M guys said this is good stuff.....but 3M will have a new product out that is the best he has seen.....so..we wait to believe.....just to let you guys know...I BUY EVERYTHING and try it......So, if I say it's what you need,,then I have already blown money trying things that are not as good...

GUYS...EVERY body shop uses it..and 3M makes the paint! .....so...http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...ermarket/Home/

Wash wheels= 15 min
Wash car = 15 min
Dry car = 5 min
Total prep...35 min

Swirl remover..10 min
Finishing Glaze 20 min
Wax 20 min....only needs 1 coat, 2 on hood and roof
Total paint detail. 50 min

1 1/2 hours....done....I don't mess around.

HONESTLY for our cars...you only need the FINISHING GLAZE AND P21s...I am just too detailed.

THIS IS THE BEST COMBO for your car....
CAN YOU PLEASE ADVISE??

I went looking for these products (Excl. Carnuba Wax), but 3M Kuwait said they had alternatives:

05996: Foam Polishing Pad Glaze (I/O 06064 Swirl Remover)
----
05991: Imperial Machine Glaze
or
05990: Imperial Hand Glaze
----
They said I should apply them with a 3M foam pad (it comes in a twin package) if not hand glaze.

They also said that a silicon based wax is advisable for my car:
6005: Imperial Liquid Wax

How good are these as 100% replacement?? Are they out of stock products??

Ahhh- I agree then. My M5 is a daily driver and it gets rained on, bird poop, etc.

To anyone not understanding about soap and water, you know the phrase "oil and water don't mix" well, while water is considered the universal solvent, it will not chemically bond with oil, ever see the grease from a frying pan welling up in it when you clean it? You need soap to take that grease off, because the soap will cause a bond with both the oil and the water so when you remove the soapy water the grease goes away too. Still confused, try washing your hair without any shampoo or soap in the morning and feel how much more relatively greasy it feels.

When you wash the car you want the chemicals, like soap to do the work, so do not push hard, just give very light pressure and allow the soap/ wax/ polish/ etc/ to do the work.

Btw- Im glad I have a silver car for a daily driver.

For the pads,,get the grey pads for your swirl remover, they come in a 2 pack and look like 2 waffle pads face to face. Hook and Loop for the back. Yes..that is the correct number.05996

Then get the Imperial Machine glaze, it will give you a better deeper, shine than the had glaze.

Imperial is just the older stuff from last year, thats all...

Get the p21s wax.....the 3M wax is not as good, even the "3M rep said that it isn't " and that ps21 is better "at the moment".

3M is coming out with a new wax that is better than P21s and he is getting me some samples before release in 2 months. I realy don't know you it could get any better looking....it's going to be hard to judge I think. But, will keep you up to date. SO,,,,I would use P21s, if you can't get it, use small bottle of 3M wax until the good stuff gets here as far as wax.

PEOPLE THAT DO THIS....PLEASE POST PICTURES!!!!!!!!

I just did my brothers car yesterday...who is the total oppisite of me being 9 years apart. We washed with dish soap, dried the car and took the before shots....after shots, well.....are after..the 3M+P21s Combo "useing a high speed buffer at 1400 rpm. Car is a 2004 Lexus.

To show you I am not cheating using photography, I focused on the car's reflector on the "after shot" and not the houses in the back....it would have been realy clear if I would have done that, but I want people to focus on the "surface of the paint". Notice the fine scratches bottom left of the "B" in before.

Quick question which may have been discussed many times before. When you use this machine glaze, does it merely remove a very thin layer of clear coat in order to get rid of the swirls? My guess it that you wouldn't want to use lots of glazes/polishes on a regular basis because it will remove all the clear coat over time? Is this a correct or incorrect assumption? Thanks.

Great results, Realtycar!

A word of caution to any detailing novices. Using a high speed rotary buffer will produce great results in the hands of an experienced detailer (such as Realtycar). But in the hands of a novice, it will create more swirl marks than you started with (best case) and worst case will burn your paint. Be very careful. For those that have paint that needs more than hand buffing can remedy, consider a Porter Cable random orbital buffer--even a novice can get great results without risking damage to your paint.

Why is the portrr cable safe and the machines not safe.

Whats the differance?

Does the porter just work at lower speeds or something?

If there is a large enough want for these 3m products, I will see if I can get a group discount. I have a relative at 3m. I know I could use a few bottles of their products.
