I use the 3M website to locate a dealer for them.

I perfear buy it online, could you provied a link?
Thanks and again your car looks PERFECT!
No..I would NEVER PUT A BRA on my car!..I would rather have it repainted for 500 bucks a year before I would do that..I hate that line and you don't get the same shine.

Your local 3M supplier will have everything much cheaper than the internet! This package includes the bottle of Compound, I have it as well for older cars in need of real work..DO NOT USE IT ON A 3 year old or newer car! P21s is everywhere on the net...http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...35859?n=228013

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB..._BIN_Stores_IT

Or buy it here bottle by bottle....http://www.autobodydepot.net/scripts...gm=3m450-4.bbx USA people..buy it local...it's CHEAP!

Please not that the 06064 swirl remover is for DARK CARS.I used this at 1400 rpm with a foam waffle pad....there is 1 for white and lighter cars,,different number. HONESTLY for our cars...you only need the FINISHING POLISH AND P21s...I am just too detailed.

OMFG. We are not worthy. That is the most amazing shine ever.

Did you apply the swirl remover with a machine? If so, which one? How about the glaze?

Swirl remover....Dewalt 1400 rpms only with "white" foam waffle pad. http://www.detailking.com/content/view/79/187/

But, you can buy a cheap buffer for $79 bucks...if it is NOT a 1400 rpm buffer or faster....it's only good for putting on wax faster. Most good buffers spin at 3000 rmp like the Dewalt..but 1400 rpm is what you use for these GLAZES.....

Finishing glaze,,,hand..could have used the buffer...but didn't....

P21s....Hand....ALL HAND SHOULD BE BACK AND FOURTH strokes...as the wind would go over your car! DO NOT WASH with ANY TYPE OF SOAP..WATER ONLY!!!!!!!! Soap the wheels...after using Armor All wheel cleaner....

Your car looks great but I highly doubt your appication times. There is no way you can effectively clear a swirled Sapphire Black M5 in 1.5 hours. I use the same products on every swirled M5 (just did one) and it has taken me around six hours with a random orbital. The results are great but unless you either look like Lou Ferigno or have a good secret, I think your time is exagerated. Once again, the car looks great! Congratulations.

I said 1 1/2 hours....now I have to get back to the gym, lol!

the back and hood only needed 3 passes..a few minor swirls..that why i said..."you don't need to use the swirl remover, i am just detailed."

Your problem is that you used a "random orbital" buffer...like I SAID!!! that is only good for putting on wax! That Porter Cable crap is for the man of the home to save time putting on wax. The HIGH SPEED professional buffer cuts way faster.....for 89 bucks more than Porter Cable, you could have saved 4 hours! get a man's buffer....you will use it for the rest of your life! Well worth the money..it's all about the RPM and heat! The Swirl remover has NO GRIT...it cuts by heat...and you can't get it hot enough with out 1400 rpms....the 3M guys will tell you that. Technology has changed,,no more cutting with 3000 grit.

These new cars can't be in bad shape....it's the finishing glaze and p21s that does the deep gloss......

My wife would kill me if I spent 3 hours on that car! a wax job is only 30 min MAX! Finishing Glaze same as wax..so thats 1 hour for Finishing Glaze and P21s...30 min to wash and dry...I spent about 15 min with the swirl remover... on hood and trunk...but didn't need it in a few spots. I will be showing some friends "how to" on Sunday...we will do a short video so I will post it for the board on how to and how long it takes....

PS..i have the Porter Cable Orbital Buffer...and it sits on the 3rd shelf in the garage waiting for me to "sand" somthing. I got that with the "Adams Polishes Kit" http://adamspolishes.com/ I told you....I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING!!!

read this....from post right above yours.

I agree the rotary makes work much faster (have used them in the past). Your car must have had very minor swirls (did not realize you stated this- my apolgies). I have now detailed 7 SB E60 M5s and all were heavily swirled IMO due to the new soft clear that BMW has switched to to avoid chipping. I have had to make passes with both the 3m compound and 3m finishing glaze on every one. I wish I could wax one in 30 minutes- guess I have to work out more . Either way, your car looks great! Congratulations and thank you for sharing your photos with us.

Thank you,,,,,I love this car...I wish I could have ordered JET BLACK! Honestly...get a High Speed buffer, save your self some time....are you a auto body guy? Supprised you don't use one.

I received my car and said...take off the plastic and adhesive, and GIVE ME MY CAR. I didn't want young guys washing my new car, swirling it up with their 3 car old water and rag...I took it home and did it myself....Thats how you do it...and it is the best. Oh...10 years ago my best friends dad owns a body shop, thats how I know so much...

Beautiful shine.

I have SB as well. 7500 mi. now and it still looks great! I've been using Zaino. Unforntunately i hit the garage pillar one day on the way in. (used to take that turn at 5mph in the M3, but the M5 is so much bigger) I put some minor scratches in the front bumper. Haven't tried to get them out yet.

Side note for Bruce............the photo of your car in the driveway of your home (you posted earlier this year) was my PC desktop / motivation for life for the three months I waited to take delivery of my car. Cheers!
