Somehow Volk Racing on a Euro Sport Sedan seems a little weird because they are normally on Japanese sports cars. But, these are great rims and you are breaking the stereotype so kudos to you. PS, I had them on my Mitsu Evo.
Haha, yeah i have heard from people that its heretical to put JDM stuff on a Euro car. The way i look at is the Volks have a great rep and make a solid product at a good price. I never understood why other forged wheels costed 3-4 times more than my volks, how are they better? And looks like they are expanding their fitments as they are available for e60 m5s now. I would consider putting volks on any car i buy here on out, good stuff.

As far as the side trim is concerned, i left it on the car and didnt bother taping it up, P21S doesnt stain that trim for some reason, however i wasnt purposely putting it on it either. As far as the bumper trim, the hard plastic trim on the front and back, i didnt tape that up and i probably should have, there is some residue, nothing a toothbrush and some peanut oil wont make short work of though. The side trim is kind of a hassle to take off without bending out of shape(i would tape these up if you are concerned), but the front and rear trim comes off easy. There is a small hole on the bumper trim pieces, large enough for a flat head to go into, put a small towel over the tip and pop it off, the rest should be doable by hand. Just scan starting from the bottom of the trim, where it is close to the back of the rear wheel, and youll see what im talking about. Hope that helps!

The wheels are very tasteful and give the car a very aggressive look in that rear 3/4 view. A set of BMW caps would make a difference IMO.
A shiny BBK behind those wheels would top off the package.
Nice one.

It is important for folks to appreciate what goes into a 'true and complete' detail- not the $100 wash, wax, cover the swirls you noted in your post. A rehabilitation of the finish takes TIME. If you don't do it yourself it takes MONEY to may someone to do it right.
Fantastic end result- of course pictures never do it justice. I am guessing in person the un-knowing look at it and say "wow, nice car", while those who know black just say "Ahhhhhhhh......."
Edit: I made your car my desktop background. Your stance, clearance, wheel choice....it's all perfect. The finish is noticed after all that but puts the perfect touch on a goddamn perfect m5. Nice work, again.
