Quality time with The Beast.

Here are some pics of The Beast after detailing the car with Zaino, Zaino, and more Zaino. I started with a claybar. It's amazing how smooth the surface gets after using the claybar. I've definitely become a Zaino fanatic. The surface is very reflective. It looks like a mirror when up close.

I also used a CR spotless DI water system and had zero water spots after using it. That also is an incredible tool and very worth while.

I added a Colgan custom front end protector and included some pics of that as well. I am not sure if I like the look of the bra or not? We'll leave it on for now and see how it works out.

Zaino is indeed an incredible product, i think if you put some Z2 on your beast you can get more metallic depth and less reflectiveness, if thats a concern to you. I love the mirror finish but its almost like you cant see the paint, just whats standing across from it

I agree. I would like to get more metallic depth and not so much the mirror look. After the claybar I used two coats of Z5 Pro with ZFX additive and then two coats of Z2 Pro with ZFX additive. I used Z6 gloss enhancer between each coat and finished it off with Z8 Grand Finale spray. I did this over two days. Perhaps I used too much gloss enhancer and thus created the mirror look. However, the directions said to apply the layers as above. It was rather addicting and kept me out of the house and in the garage. Any other suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks.

I did the same thing as you did the first time and got the same results. I think one coat of Z5 to minimize swirls would be sufficient and putting on z2 till you get the look you want would be a good idea. While z6 and z8 enhance gloss, i feel its the z5 that really gives that mirror look. Trying PMing member Laidback about Zaino as he is the zaino pro around here. Maybe he will chime in....

One thing i can say though is that as amazing as zaino is, the metallic depth i get with a regular wax like P21s is very nice and requires less time and effort. I guess it depends on what you want from your paint...

When you wash the car next time just apply a coat or two of Z5 only to add more depth and cover some of the swirls/ scratches your going to have, i say this because whenever you drive the car dust and dirt can akso cause scratches, and use Z8 instead of Z6 in between (do this and you'll get that metallic depth you want, I have no problem bringing out the depth and gloss just using Zaino...It takes some practice and alot of practice but i think you got it down and have the right tool to get the job done...

Btw CAUTION: ZAINO is addictive

That is an awesome shine, what exactly is a 'clay bar'? I live in South Africa, and have asked around at shops for this thing, but nobody seems to have it. Please post some pics of it . Thanks.

Thanks for the advice. Next time I will try what you recommend. I couldn't agree more. ZAINO IS ADDICTIVE!
