Testing the waters here. This is my 03 M5. 104xxx miles. I am the third owner. There are currently a few minor problems with the car. These include a few bulbs and tires needing to be replaced. As far as modifications go, it has a professionally installed magnaflow exhaust system, with a muffler and resonator delete. It is LOUD when you get on it. New twin disk clutch installed last year - it rattles a bit, but grabs hard. It also has Koni adjustable coilovers, sitting about 1.5 inches lower than stock, as well as a set of aftermarket wheels. 19x9.5 in the front (tires are 255mm) and 19x10.5 in the rear (tires are 285mm). I currently have one of my spare SSR's on the left rear (same dimensions, slightly different offset). The fourth matching wheel will come with the car, but it has a very slight bend (can't see it with the naked eye, but it won't hold air long.) The car is mechanically sound, but burns a little oil off the valve covers (about half a quart every two months). Last summer I was cut off in the rain and slid into a curb at 10-15mph. Everything was repaired (all left rear suspension components.) As far as the body goes, the front bumper is cracked at the very bottom. The rear bumper is cracked in the middle, and the left side skirt is pushed in from the bottom from a small pile of slate I didn't see as I was backing out of a friends driveway.

It should also be noted that the car has a RECOVERY title. A few months before I bought it, the car was stolen and recovered a few blocks away.

All in all, the car clearly has a few issues. However, to a committed owner, this is a great deal.

I am asking $19,000 O.B.O. for the car. Located in Gloucester County, NJ. (15 minutes from Philly.)

Update

A small update for anyone interested,

I'm lowering my asking price. I wasn't quite expecting to get 19k for my M5, given the title issues. I've decided that a more realistic price would be $16,500 O.B.O.

And here's a little more information about the title. It does not have an R title, as I have just found out.

The title reads A for Actual Milage, and S for Salvage. Let it be known that this vehicle has been in no major accidents and was not actually "salvaged" or "rebuilt". The car was stolen before I owned it, as previously stated. Due to the legal status of the car being a "recovery", and the owner having already put in his claim with insurance for theft before he was notified that the car was at impound, the car sat for a bit without an owner. The DMV said that the only option to get the car retitled, given the circumstances, was to give it a salvage title.

I hope this clears things up for anyone that was wondering.

I am in no rush to sell, but feel free to respond to this thread, or message me if you're interested.

Good luck with your sale OP. I'm sure the community appreciates you explaining the situation around the title.

Update

The car now has just over 113k miles. No new issues.

PRICE IS NOW 11K FIRM. I'm heading back to school in the fall, and I need to build up some savings so I don't have to work full time and go to school full time as well. I hate to see her go, but it will be for the best.

Any picture of the rest go the car (interior, engine, trunk, underbody), or better daylight/sunny picture?
