Sterling was the only color I considered. Almost 11 years later and I still love it. In terms of collecting the car, I'm not sure if SG adds value. It certainly is not the most common M5 color as it was only available on MY 2002-2003.
Both gentlemen are correct. Sterling Grey is unique. Not as dark as Anthracite but shines up nice with good waxing. My secondary favorite color is also Imola.
Good luck with the M5, looks like a beauty! The guys at EAG are very knowledgeable, I almost bought a car from them last fall but stumbled across a great local car that I went with instead.
I absolutely love my SG. My roommate has a LMB, our neighbor has an AW, and a close friend of ours just picked up a Carbon. We're all close friends from when we were kids, we're hoping to get more of the rare colors too.

Sorry for resurrecting this sold thread, but I can't PM. Can you send me the contact for the person selling the 70K Mile Sterling Grey M5? email deshmokie at yahoo dot com. Thanks.
